stylistically pairing black or blue garments with brown
is now acceptable—even fashionable—in twenty-昀椀rst
century style. And this autumn is evident of how much the
sensibilities have changed.“There are a lot of fun colors,”
McMenamin shared. “Very contemporary with neutral
colors, carmels, deep reds.”
Beyond the garments, McMenamin con昀椀rmed what
was on display on fashion show runways—footwear is not
immune to the trend, saying, “There are a lot of new shoes.”
Shoes running a gamut of colors and style is not
surprising, but the earth-tones in fashion boots are back
with a vengeance. The brown tones complement the out昀椀t
with a range from deep reds, chocolate browns and all the
way down the spectrum to yellows and lighter creams.
A swing back to tactile animal patterns popular in midcentury style accents the earth tone styling with brown
based reptilian and animal patterns, including snakeskin
and leopard prints.
As far as coastal fashion goes, there is an elegant
sensibility of an earth tone spectrum clothing our bodies
while soothing our souls along the beach through this
